LINX Cargo Care Group Eliminates Upgrade Costs and Supports Growth with Oracle

LINX Cargo Care Group, a diversified ports and logistics provider in Australia and New Zealand, needed to transition quickly after its demerger from Asciano to avoid costly upgrades to legacy PeopleSoft finance, HR and labour‑planning systems. The company also wanted to reduce HR administration, improve talent attraction and gain flexible, scalable systems to support growth.

Adopting a “transition‑first, transform‑later” approach, LINX migrated to Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle HCM Cloud (with implementation partners PrimeQ and Presence of IT) in eight months, avoiding up to US$8 million in upgrade costs over five years and saving an estimated US$480,000 a year in hosting/licensing. The cloud move halved HR workload, streamlined recruiting, sped month‑end reporting for 80 managers, improved project financial management and performance reviews, and provided the scalability needed for future growth.
