Light gains over 70% in data consistency and accuracy with Oracle Field Service

Light, an integrated energy company in Brazil, needed to improve capital efficiency, reduce costs, and modernize a slow, unstable workforce management system that relied on manual updates. The lack of unified control made dispatching and service planning inefficient, hurting field-team productivity and customer service. Light chose Oracle Field Service, along with Oracle Analytics, to support planning, routing, and execution of field operations such as power recovery, new connections, and emergency services.

With Oracle, Light implemented a more robust cloud-based field service platform that improved operational visibility and team coordination. The results included about 72% better data consistency and accuracy, new installation execution time dropping from 40 to 10 minutes, and power cut/reconnection time falling from 34 to 5 minutes. Field arrival times also improved significantly, and Light’s new productivity model helped raise operational efficiency by 2.4% between June and August 2022, with further gains expected.
