Leidos paves the way for growth with help from Oracle Software Investment Advisory

Leidos, an aviation and defense leader, was facing an Oracle unlimited license agreement (ULA) renewal while underusing the agreement and reassessing its cloud strategy. The company also needed clearer insight into its Oracle on-premises deployments and licensing policies, especially amid active mergers and acquisitions. Oracle Software Investment Advisory helped Leidos evaluate its options and better understand its existing Oracle footprint.

Oracle Software Investment Advisory guided Leidos through scenario planning and showed that its ULA could be expanded to better support future growth. As a result, Leidos added more relevant products, secured more favorable terms, and chose to extend the Oracle ULA and use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure instead of certifying the ULA and moving to AWS. The expanded agreement gave Leidos unlimited deployment rights for several Oracle products, reduced license procurement and management overhead, and supported its M&A needs with added flexibility and cost savings.
