Kuwait National Petroleum Company Improves Performance and Scalability of More Than 30 Third-Party Applications

Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), one of the largest oil refiners in the Middle East, faced the challenge of modernizing and consolidating IT across its downstream subsidiaries to reduce costs, speed financial closes, and improve executive decision-making. KNPC needed to integrate project, financial, and HR management into an enterprise-wide shared‑services model, simplify its infrastructure to enable faster market response, and support a global, single‑instance application strategy.

KNPC upgraded to Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 on its existing Oracle stack and implemented a shared‑services single platform with support from Oracle Premier Support and partner ITS. The migration consolidated hundreds of forms and objects, improved performance and scalability for more than 30 third‑party applications, enabled multiple‑organization access control, lowered infrastructure and support costs, and delivered better financial and operational visibility—creating a foundation for unifying downstream subsidiaries and rolling out applications to Kuwait Aviation Fuelling.
