A Oracle Case Study
Konyang University, a prominent Korean institution with a >90% graduate employment rate, sought to strengthen students’ software and mobile-application development skills across both IT and non-IT majors. The university needed a hands-on, enterprise-grade mobile cloud platform that would let students focus on building apps rather than setup tasks, and that non-technical students could use intuitively to become corporate-ready.
Konyang implemented Oracle Mobile Cloud Service (Oracle Mobile Hub) with partner Posgen to deliver four practical courses—mobile service planning, mobile development, Java hands-on, and Node.js hands-on—using prebuilt services (storage, push notifications) and a rapid mobile app tool for no-code creation. The move sped development cycles, freed students from API/setup work, enabled anytime/anywhere practice, gave professors API-based participation tracking, and measurably improved students’ development skills and job readiness.
