A Oracle Case Study
King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC) is a state‑of‑the‑art quaternary healthcare complex in Mecca (with a Jeddah satellite), operating specialist centers across oncology, cardiology, neurosciences and more. KAMC faced fragmented, siloed systems for finance, HR and supply chain that hurt data integrity, procurement accuracy, reporting compliance and staff productivity—creating operational risk, inventory shortages or waste, and higher IT total cost of ownership.
KAMC consolidated processes with Oracle E‑Business Suite 12.2.4 on Oracle Exadata/Exalogic (with partner Raya), deploying Oracle Human Resources, Purchasing and Inventory Management plus cash and accrual ledgers. The rollout delivered HR self‑service and centralized procurement, cut employee admin time by 95%, sped medical‑supply request fulfillment tenfold, eliminated stockouts/overstock, improved scheduling and compliance, and reduced TCO while enabling the first public‑sector ERP deployment in a private cloud.
