A Oracle Case Study
Jordan Petroleum Refinery, Jordan’s sole domestic producer of petroleum products with over 3,300 employees and annual revenues above $5 billion, needed to modernize its operations to improve agility, customer service, and regional consistency. The company sought a web-enabled, unified ERP/CRM platform that could connect all sites, support Arabic language conventions, archive historical data to reduce storage and backup windows, and maintain vendor support with the latest modular functionality.
To meet these goals JPR upgraded to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 with Oracle WebLogic, using an internal IT team and an Oracle partner to complete a phased deployment in 12 months. The solution delivered a web interface for customers, shortened order-to-sales cycles from about two days to a few hours, enabled single-version planning across sites and faster onboarding, archived 80% of legacy data to cut daily backups from eight to three hours, and improved customer-account automation—allowing an average 80% reduction in dedicated customer-facing staff across nine sites while boosting sales opportunities and cash flow.
