Jazz Aviation LP, the regional carrier operating Air Canada Express with a large fleet and national footprint after merging five airlines, faced a recruiting bottleneck: paper-based, spreadsheet-and-fax hiring processes couldn’t keep up with volumes, standardization needs, or federal fairness and compliance requirements. The airline needed a cloud-based system to automate job distribution, standardize processes across merged units, and ensure equitable hiring for roles from pilots and flight attendants to maintenance staff.

Jazz implemented Oracle Taleo Recruiting Cloud Service (with HCM Cloud) in-house, on time and on budget, to centralize and automate recruiting. The solution standardized hiring across all five airlines, enabled tracking of interview and test data, handled about 30,000 candidates across 65 bases annually, cut advertising costs by 50%, sped job posting with templates and screening, delivered scheduled candidate-status reports, and maintained a fair, compliant recruitment process.
