ironSource Effectively Scales QA Environment with Ravello Systems

ironSource, a Tel Aviv–headquartered application distribution platform that optimizes installers, analytics and monetization for app developers, struggled to test installers across many operating system versions, browsers and application variants. The existing QA process was static and unscalable, and Windows client testing in the public cloud was especially difficult and time consuming.

By using Ravello Systems’ nested virtualization integrated with Jenkins and JIRA on Oracle Compute Cloud, ironSource automated environment provisioning via Ravello APIs and created over 600 replicas of customer environments. Builds, tests and reports run in under 20 minutes and environments are torn down on a pay-per-use basis—enabling rapid, scalable Windows testing, improved release quality and significantly reduced infrastructure costs.
