ING Bank Gains Comprehensive Technology Knowledge Across Entire IT Team

ING Bank A.Ş., the Turkish arm of the global ING Group, needed to standardize and deepen Oracle technology skills across its IT department to support growth in areas like mobile and internet banking, corporate and retail lending, and insurance. The bank faced the challenge of training 100 new hires and 280 existing IT staff in technologies such as PL/SQL, Oracle Database, Data Guard, WebLogic Server, and Oracle BI while also improving service responsiveness and employee morale.

ING engaged Oracle University and local partner Bilginç IT Academy to deliver 20 customized, hands‑on courses and certification paths that accommodated varying skill levels. The training produced faster, more consistent IT support, accelerated launch of new banking products, and significantly sped up BI reporting; it also gave experienced staff efficiency shortcuts, rapidly onboarded new employees, improved job satisfaction, and reduced overall training costs by consolidating to a single vendor.
