Indus Towers Recruits Candidates 2x Faster, Cuts Employment Agencies Usage, and Improves Hiring Decisions

Indus Towers Ltd., a joint venture of Bharti, Vodafone and Aditya Birla groups and the world’s largest telecom tower company, needed to streamline recruitment across 15 telecom circles. Recruiters were using disparate spreadsheets and emails, causing data integrity issues, slow turnaround, heavy reliance on employment agencies, and a cumbersome onboarding process that hindered hiring quality and speed.

Working with Wipro, Indus implemented Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud (part of Oracle HCM Cloud) to centralize recruiting, automate resume capture and approvals, and integrate onboarding workflows. The result: hiring became 2x faster, recruiters processed an average of 29 offers per month (vs. ~10 previously), agency usage fell as ~50% of roles were filled internally, reporting and decision‑making accelerated, and onboarding was simplified to improve new‑hire experience and retention.
