A Oracle Case Study
INAM, Togo’s public sector health insurer, needed to modernize aging IT systems to support universal health coverage and improve service for more than 430,000 civil servants, dependents, and small business owners. The organization was struggling with slow performance, frequent patching, and long server procurement cycles, so it looked to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to run its insurance and internal applications.
With help from Oracle, INAM lifted and shifted customer-facing and back-office applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including its website, statistics server, ticketing tool, and core healthcare provider management system. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure also became the testing and development environment for key software, while Oracle Cloud Advisor and Oracle Cloud Observability and Management Platform helped monitor usage and costs. INAM reported greatly improved application availability and better ability to handle core operations, and it is now planning to extend Oracle use for disaster recovery and cybersecurity with Oracle Active Data Guard and Oracle Web Application Firewall.
