IFFCO Creates Financial Reports up to 10x Faster, Streamlines Invoice Approval Processes, and Improves Staff Productivity with Scalable ERP System

Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd. (IFFCO) is one of India’s largest cooperative fertilizer producers, representing over 35,000 farmer societies and operating multiple manufacturing plants that produce millions of tons of urea, DAP and NPK annually. Facing database corruption and ERP performance issues, long report-generation times for periodic financial closings, the need to support upcoming GST requirements, and a slow, manual invoice/TDS approval process, IFFCO needed a scalable, reliable ERP platform that would reduce maintenance overhead and speed core financial operations.

IFFCO migrated to Oracle Database 12c and Oracle E‑Business Suite 12.2.5 with Oracle Advanced Customer Support, completing extensive testing, a 96‑hour dry run and an 86‑hour cutover to go live in five months; post‑go‑live support cut issue resolution to two weeks. The upgrade delivered up to 10x faster financial reporting, automated TDS application for invoices, improved system reliability and user productivity, simplified administration with online patching and caching, stronger data security controls, reduced accounting discrepancies, and built‑in support for GST.
