Home Office, the UK’s lead government department focused on public safety, needed a faster way to gather finance and human resources data from siloed sources to answer requests from internal stakeholders and citizens, including Freedom of Information Act inquiries. Its on-premises systems also required up to three days of downtime twice a year for updates, creating operational disruption. Oracle Analytics Cloud was chosen to help address these data and uptime challenges.
Oracle implemented Oracle Analytics Cloud to consolidate and automate Home Office’s data analysis, giving staff on-demand access to the information they need. As a result, response times for information requests improved and system uptime rose to over 99%. Home Office is also running a proof of concept for Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence to track KPIs with prebuilt analytics for Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and HCM.
