Case Study: Henkel achieves unified, lower-cost, more agile group-wide transportation with Oracle Transportation Management

A Oracle Case Study

Preview of the Henkel Case Study

Henkel Deploys Oracle to Unify Group-Wide Transportation Operations

Henkel, a global consumer and industrial goods group (brands include Persil, Schwarzkopf and Loctite), needed to unify and streamline transportation across three business units and 30 countries. The company faced fragmented, localized transport processes, hundreds of disparate carriers, limited planning visibility and slow, manual tender and logistics workflows—challenges that constrained responsiveness, increased costs and hindered standardization.

Henkel deployed Oracle Transportation Management (with Freight Payment, Transportation Intelligence and Operational Planning) with implementation partner Flo Group, rapidly rolling the solution out across Europe and Asia and integrating 200+ carriers. The unified platform standardized and automated planning and tendering, cut freight costs by 3–8% per country, reduced mileage, fuel use and CO2, shortened tender prep from weeks to days, improved supplier management and visibility, and delivered ongoing analytics to drive further efficiency and customer responsiveness.
