Helzberg Diamonds adds clarity with AI in retail and optimization

Helzberg Diamonds, a 100‑year‑old jeweler with more than 150 stores and 2,000 associates, needed to replace an aging merchandise planning system that was nearing end of life. The retailer sought a scalable, reliable, accurate solution with full assortment and open‑to‑buy capabilities to support end‑to‑end planning and meet changing customer needs.

Helzberg implemented Oracle Retail solutions — including Merchandise Financial Planning, Demand Forecasting, Replenishment Management, Assortment Planning and the Retail Science Platform — integrating them with existing Oracle systems. Using built‑in AI (notably demand transference) and Oracle Retail Consulting’s rapid implementation, the team identified unique versus transferable demand, optimized assortments and inventory, and positioned the business to improve Fall/Holiday planning and gain a strategic advantage in retail merchandising.
