Helsana Group Enhances Customer Web Experience Across Digital Channels Using Highly Efficient, Scalable Web Content Management Platform

Helsana Group, Switzerland’s leading health and accident insurer with 1.9 million customers and multiple brands, needed to modernize and consolidate its web presence. The organization faced challenges managing content across many sites and channels, ensuring legal and product information remained correct and consistent, improving user experience and page speed on any device, and completing a complex migration that integrated legacy systems and ongoing design changes.

Helsana implemented Oracle WebCenter Sites with Oracle SOA Suite and ADF, supported by partner Silbury, to create a scalable, multilingual web content management platform. The new solution centralized content authoring and publishing for 30 content managers, improved performance and multichannel delivery, and automated dynamic content updates for consistency. Results included an 11% rise in non-registered visitors, reduced paper/printing costs of US$4 million through myHelsana integration, faster customer service, high user satisfaction (70% found answers immediately, 84% rated the site visually appealing), and on-time, on-budget deployment in seven months.
