W. Heemskerk B.V. is a Rijnsburg, Netherlands–based fresh-vegetable processor with about 500 employees, producing roughly 250 end products from 60 vegetable types and supplying over 110 million items annually to retailers and foodservice. Facing aggressive growth targets (including a plan to double revenue), the company needed a fully integrated ERP to eliminate custom workarounds, reduce manufacturing waste, improve on-time delivery, and support more efficient customer service and operations.

Heemskerk implemented JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1 (using the Ordina Food Solution template) and Oracle Business Intelligence with partner Ordina, replacing fragmented systems with a unified platform. The rollout delivered comprehensive process support and advanced reporting, significantly cut waste and lead times, improved insight into transport and maintenance costs, raised service levels to nearly 100%, and shifted IT effort from firefighting to strategic projects—positioning the company to scale and strengthen its competitive position.
