Heathrow prepares to expand by unifying HR and Finance

London Heathrow Airport needed to modernize its back-office HR and Finance systems to support post-pandemic recovery, improve efficiency, and prepare for future expansion. To do that, Heathrow launched Project Magenta and chose Oracle, using Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM to replace legacy software and give employees better tools and access to data.

Oracle implemented a unified cloud platform that standardized HR and Finance processes, connected to Heathrow’s wider digital estate through Oracle Integration Cloud, and reduced manual work. The results included faster decision making, better-quality work, and stronger efficiency; Heathrow said key tasks were delivered roughly twice as fast during the project, and tasks that once took 20 to 50 hours were completed in a fraction of that time.
