Hapvida improves patient outcomes and saves lives using Oracle Cloud

Hapvida, Brazil’s largest verticalized healthcare provider, needed to modernize its data and analytics environment to improve patient care, reduce diagnosis delays, and unify data across its hospitals, clinics, and labs. Using Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Analytics Cloud on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Hapvida aimed to replace on-premises systems that made it difficult to access imaging results and monitor emergency room wait times.

Oracle implemented a cloud-based platform that centralized data, improved security, and enabled real-time analytics and AI-driven diagnosis support. The results were significant: medical report times dropped from more than 2 hours to under 15 minutes, emergency wait times could be monitored in real time, and the company improved treatment decisions and governance across its network. Oracle also helped Hapvida save lives during the pandemic by supporting an AI model that analyzed chest X-rays and provided rapid preliminary reports.
