A Oracle Case Study
Halldis, which manages more than 1,850 apartments across Italy and major European cities, needed to match travelers to properties by age, interests, trip purpose and budget while dynamically adjusting pricing and advertising on a daily basis. Lacking an internal IT team, the company struggled to connect multiple data sources and run algorithms quickly and reliably to maximize occupancy, control commission costs, and personalize the guest experience.
Using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with Autonomous Database, Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Analytics and IoT Asset Monitoring Cloud, Halldis automated its recommendation and pricing engines with machine learning, linked finance via an API from JD Edwards for faster invoicing, and used sensor data to factor energy and occupancy costs into pricing. The solution delivered faster, more accurate operations, improved cash flow, better-targeted offers, increased repeat bookings, and higher profitability.
