A Oracle Case Study
Gulf Bank, one of Kuwait’s largest financial institutions, wanted to modernize its banking technology to better support cashless transactions, tighter regulatory demands, and rising customer expectations for personalized, seamless service. The bank was also managing more than 70 applications across separate corporate and retail systems, limiting agility and innovation. To address these challenges, Gulf Bank turned to Oracle Banking Solutions, including Oracle’s retail and corporate banking platforms and consulting services.
Oracle helped Gulf Bank consolidate its banking operations onto a unified platform with real-time processing, improved collateral management, and integration with Kuwait’s credit system for automated loan origination and assessment. Oracle Banking Digital Experience Cloud Service and other Oracle solutions improved customer experience, compliance, and branch efficiency, while the bank also built Kuwait’s first microservice architecture-based application. As a result, Gulf Bank reduced technology support costs by 10%, cut the number of supported applications from over 70 to about 20, and achieved stronger business efficiency and higher customer satisfaction.
