Grupo Quimmco Unifies Accounting and Inventory for Six Subsidiaries, Improving Efficiency and Profitability

Quimmco S.A. de C.V. (Grupo Quimmco) is a Monterrey‑based industrial consortium with 10 subsidiaries and about 5,500 employees that manufactures products for the automotive, metalworking, chemical, and construction sectors. The group needed to unify accounting across six major subsidiaries, standardize inventory controls and supplier data, and optimize raw‑material procurement (notably steel and polyurethane) to avoid production delays and improve profit margins.

Grupo Quimmco implemented Oracle E‑Business Suite Release 12—along with Oracle Financials, Inventory Management, Purchasing, Release Management, and Oracle Database—in a phased rollout with partner Rapid Solutions. The project created a single chart of accounts and consolidated financial reporting, standardized invoicing and supplier payments, centralized purchasing to secure better prices and margins, automated goods release and inventory processes, and replaced disparate databases for improved scalability—delivering greater operational efficiency and profitability on time and on budget.
