Grupo Fármacos Especializados is a Mexico City–based healthcare consortium with four business units and a network of 84 pharmacies that supplies specialty medicines, wholesale pharmaceuticals, and medical services. Facing heavy daily transaction volumes and 24/7 operations, the group needed higher availability and redundancy, faster data-query and reporting times, consolidated nationwide information, lower storage and maintenance costs, and simplified IT administration so staff could focus on strategic work.

Oracle upgraded the environment to Engineered Systems (Exadata, Exalogic, Exalytics) and deployed Oracle applications and BI under Oracle Managed Cloud Services. The solution delivered faster access to data and BI, scalable capacity without frequent hardware purchases, consolidated reporting and improved inventory control, greater operational stability and compliance, reduced need for specialized hardware staff, and freed IT to support strategic initiatives.
