A Oracle Case Study
Grupo Colón Gerena is a Puerto Rico–based owner and operator of fast-casual restaurant franchises with 15 legal entities. The company struggled with two different on‑premises accounting systems that required manual data extraction for reporting, exposed finance operations to local outages and disaster risk, and increased costs and complexity for upgrades and acquisitions.
By moving to Oracle Cloud ERP, Grupo Colón Gerena kept finance operations running immediately after Hurricane Maria and replaced manual processes with automated workflows. The cloud system automated invoicing (freeing at least four full‑time employees for higher‑value work), gave suppliers self‑service visibility into orders and payments, standardized accounting across entities, streamlined reporting, and integrated restaurant billing, sales, and inventory data for continuous, cost‑effective operations.
