Grupo Bimbo moves to Oracle Cloud to help keep the world fed

Grupo Bimbo, one of the world’s largest bakery companies with operations in 33 countries, struggled with limited visibility across a mix of homegrown and legacy systems. The company wanted to use AI and data analytics across its global operations, but fragmented applications made it difficult to access and connect the data, leading to higher expenses and waste. Oracle, including Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Consulting, was part of the environment as Grupo Bimbo planned a major move to cloud.

Oracle helped Grupo Bimbo implement a phased, global rollout of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, SCM, HCM, CX, Oracle Fusion Cloud Transportation Management, and Oracle Integration/Oracle SOA on OCI. The company now updates its Oracle Cloud Applications quarterly instead of every three to four years, gaining faster innovation, greater agility, and better scalability. Oracle’s cloud transportation tools improved shipment efficiency, helping reduce costs and emissions, while Oracle Cloud HCM improved global recruiting and support for diversity and inclusion goals.
