Grupo Arcor develops new service app using Oracle APEX

Grupo Arcor, an Argentine multinational that produces sugar, candy, cookies and ice cream across 40 plants and 3 million kilograms of product daily, needed to integrate its IT service management (ITIL) system with a separate database application that tracked data fixes. The company faced the added complexity of third‑party providers that required integration with external authentication, tools, and processes, and it needed incident tracking, reporting and auditing capabilities delivered within a few months.

Arcor built a new service‑management app using Oracle APEX on Oracle Database Cloud Service (OCI), with implementation support from partner Filomeni. The solution delivered end‑to‑end traceability, managed more than 1,500 SQL statements monthly, cut incidents requiring data fixes by 30%, improved application performance by 8%, halved database provisioning time, and strengthened compliance and audit transparency while enabling secure, scalable remote access.
