Grocon PCL, as the builder in the Plenary Health consortium, delivered the A$1 billion Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Melbourne under a tightly governed public‑private partnership. The project demanded strict reporting and oversight for healthcare accreditation, rigorous as‑built and change‑approval processes, workflow management to meet critical deadlines, and an upgrade from outdated defect‑management tools.

Using Aconex Project Controls and Collaboration, Grocon automated monthly reporting, deployed configurable RFI workflows with timely alerts, enabled automated mail approvals and a mobile, cloud‑based field inspection solution. The approach expedited handling of 54,462 field issues, saved A$778,000 in reporting time and labor (with a projected A$950,500 saved in management reports), and helped deliver the cancer centre on time and on budget.
