Great Eastern Life, the largest life insurance company in Singapore and Malaysia with more than 16 million policyholders, needed to modernize its IT infrastructure as data demands grew. The company wanted better data management, security, and patching without system downtime, and as an existing Oracle Database customer, it turned to Oracle for an upgrade using Oracle Autonomous Database on Exadata Cloud@Customer.

Oracle, with implementation support from Oracle Consulting, delivered an autonomous cloud database that automated patching for zero downtime and encryption to help meet compliance needs. The upgrade improved performance and scalability, freed IT staff to focus on strategic data initiatives, and gave agents and customers a more responsive, highly available application experience.
