Gränges Finspång gains flexibility by moving to Oracle Cloud

Gränges Finspång, a Swedish aluminum products manufacturer serving the automotive industry, needed a more flexible, stable, and cost-efficient IT platform for its global operations. The company had been running Oracle E-Business Suite on-premises for financials, procurement, and supply chain, but wanted to move to the cloud to improve performance and gain a competitive edge. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Consulting were selected for the migration.

Oracle helped Gränges Finspång move its Oracle E-Business Suite database to Oracle Database Cloud Service and transfer servers and backup data to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, using Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager and Oracle Managed Cloud Services. The cutover was smoother than expected, with only minor configuration changes, and the new setup delivered faster speed, lower costs, stronger stability, and easier scaling for test and production environments. Oracle FastConnect also linked on-premises systems to OCI, helping Gränges support growth and handle demand spikes with greater agility.
