A Oracle Case Study
GE Power, part of GE Vernova and serving customers in more than 150 countries, faced a fragmented supply chain environment with more than five ERP systems, legacy tools across 100 locations, and no single source of data. This made forecasting, demand management, and planning slow and inaccurate, with manual spreadsheet work taking days and forecast accuracy stuck at around 55%. GE Power chose Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Management (SCM), including Oracle Supply Chain Planning, to unify its planning processes and improve visibility.
Oracle helped GE Power consolidate disparate systems into one platform, eliminate hundreds of spreadsheets, and reduce 15 forecasting tools down to one central hub. As a result, forecasting time dropped from more than five days to half a day, forecast accuracy improved to 70%, and the company shifted from push-based to pull-based planning for better inventory efficiency and lower costs. With Oracle, GE Power gained a single source of truth, stronger end-to-end supply chain visibility, and a more efficient sales and operations cycle.
