Flying Tiger Copenhagen transforms planning and budgeting with Oracle EPM Cloud

Flying Tiger Copenhagen, a fast-growing variety retailer with more than 800 stores in 30 countries, faced a time-consuming, error-prone budgeting and consolidation process that relied on spreadsheets sent from markets and consolidated in on-premises Oracle Hyperion. The company needed a cloud-based, scalable solution to improve monitoring, forecasting, and integration with existing ERP/EPM systems as it expanded rapidly.

After a successful six-month pilot, Flying Tiger deployed Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (Oracle Cloud EPM Planning), automating data loads and training markets via web tutorials. The rollout eliminated spreadsheets, produced a consolidated P&L across 800+ stores, saved about 20 man-days per year (roughly 10% of a business controller’s time), improved forecast accuracy and budget control, and enabled pay-as-you-grow scalability with direct market input and real-time HQ collaboration.
