Flybe, Europe’s largest independent regional airline based in Exeter, operates more UK domestic routes than any other carrier and serves more than 180 routes across 16 European countries. Facing strong competition from car and rail travel, Flybe aimed to optimize its digital channels, improve the online customer experience and lift booking conversion rates.
Using Oracle Maxymiser, Flybe ran tests on its desktop booking funnel focused on seat-availability urgency messaging (static and flyout presentations at low-seat thresholds). Variants with urgency messaging boosted conversion, driving a 6.9% increase in bookings on scheduled UK flights and generating £8.5 million in annualized incremental revenue.
