Fisher Science Education uses Oracle to grow its customer base

Fisher Science Education, a distributor of science supplies to K–12 school systems, needed faster, clearer insights into a highly microsegmented customer base to expand the reach and ROI of its customer-facing publication. The marketing team faced challenges in profiling readers, tracking publication performance, managing content and data, and implementing progressive profiling to deliver more targeted communications.

Using Oracle CX Marketing (Oracle Eloqua), Fisher repurposed top print content into mid-funnel nurturing campaigns and monthly opt-in emails tailored to interests and seasonal events, while progressively enriching profiles from trigger campaign data and offering co-op advertising to suppliers. The program added 30,000 email subscribers in one year (a 55% increase), lifted annual revenue 7.5%—outperforming competitors—and drove an average 18% revenue growth for participating suppliers, who now regard Fisher as a marketing leader.
