A Oracle Case Study
Ferrovial, a Madrid‑based infrastructure and services group operating airports, highways, construction, and services, faced the challenge of simplifying and standardizing user management and authentication for more than 14,000 internal and external users. The company needed centralized access controls and personnel identification, faster onboarding/offboarding and incident response, and secure mobile access to corporate workflows (purchase orders, invoices, approvals) while meeting corporate security standards.
Working with HP, Ferrovial deployed Oracle Identity Manager and Oracle Access Manager (plus Oracle SOA Suite) to consolidate identity repositories, automate provisioning and deprovisioning, and centralize access monitoring. The solution delivered secure web and mobile access (responsive jQuery Mobile app), an SMS password‑reset service, reduced registration and deregistration times, eliminated duplicate/inactive accounts, improved response quality and user satisfaction, and provided scalable, flexible, and cost‑effective identity and access management.
