Fastone achieves new high performance computing levels with Oracle Cloud

Shanghai Fastone Information Technology Co needed to scale its high-performance computing platform to meet growing customer demand, support more than 240 HPC applications, and deliver faster, lower-cost simulation for industries like semiconductors, life sciences, and automotive. To do that, Fastone evaluated cloud providers, including Oracle, and looked for an infrastructure that could expand to massive core counts while maintaining strong performance and reliability.

Oracle implemented Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) High Performance Computing solutions with autoscaling, bare metal servers, and optimized Intel Ice Lake-based instances. The result was dramatic: Fastone achieved 42x faster HSPICE simulations, reduced one customer’s simulation time from 30 days to 17 hours, and cut another workload from 5 years to 15.23 hours. Oracle also enabled scaling to 270 nodes and 9,200 cores in benchmarking, helping Fastone lower costs, accelerate time to simulation, and expand its market reach.
