eZono AG is a Jena-based startup that designs affordable tablet ultrasound systems for point-of-care procedures and sells in more than 30 countries. Rapid international growth and strict investor and regulatory reporting created challenges: the company needed web-based ERP access for branch offices and outsourced logistics, automated device tracing by serial number and location, and near-real-time financial and compliance reporting without large increases in staff.

eZono implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1 with Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Database, and Oracle Business Intelligence tools, supported by partner Vision IT Consulting. The solution enabled internet access to the full ERP suite for distributors and staff, automated weekly revenue and compliance reports (saving the CFO about four hours per week), streamlined export and certification handling across markets, lowered warehousing costs to a few hundred euros per month, and provided a scalable, secure foundation for future growth.
