Estrella Roja Group Consolidates Financial Administration and Human Resources for 17 Companies, Improves Efficiency

Estrella Roja Group is a Mexican transportation company made up of 17 operating companies that provide passenger, cargo, and courier services. Facing fragmented finance and HR systems that relied on manual spreadsheets, the group needed to consolidate accounting and human-resources processes, improve operational efficiency and financial control, and support long-term growth and higher performance requirements.

Working with ERP Soluciones, Estrella Roja implemented Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12, Oracle Database, and Oracle Business Intelligence to centralize finance, payroll (for 1,200 employees), procurement, maintenance, and reporting. The rollout eliminated error-prone spreadsheets, automated financial statements, sped up invoicing and ticket distribution, provided managers with accurate income/expense and sales reports, and scaled the IT platform for new business units—completed in seven-and-a-half months and within budget.
