A Oracle Case Study
Escorts Limited, a large Indian multinational automotive manufacturer operating in agriculture machinery, construction equipment, railways and automotive components, struggled with fragmented operations across four different ERP systems. This created inconsistent master data, limited enterprisewide visibility, slow financial closes and reduced agility to respond to changing market demand.
By consolidating onto Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 and implementing Oracle Financials, Discrete Manufacturing, Warehouse and Asset Management, and the iSupplier Portal, Escorts gained real-time, enterprise-wide data and automated core supply-chain and financial processes. The rollout halved financial reporting time (closing by day 5 instead of day 10), improved decision-making, reduced warranty errors via barcode tracking, increased order capacity and revenue opportunities, and strengthened supplier collaboration and customer satisfaction.
