English MouMou Delivers Seamless Digital Learning Experience to Students, Reduces Costs, and Supports Global Growth with a Reliable Database

English MouMou Co., Ltd., a Seoul-based provider of self-directed English programs with more than 1,000 franchised centers and roughly 30,000 student users, needed a high-performing, scalable database to power its Smart MouMou tablet-based learning system. The company required fast processing of multimedia content (videos, interactive games), uninterrupted access during peak after-school hours, and a solution that could support membership growth and expansion into international markets.

After a three-month proof-of-concept, English MouMou deployed Oracle Database 12c on Oracle Database Appliance X5-2 with Oracle Real Application Clusters, implemented by partner Astom Technology. The new platform delivered seamless, 24/7 access for up to 7,000 concurrent users, improved student experience and analytics, reduced computing resources and maintenance costs by about 80%, and provided capacity-on-demand scaling to support growth to 50,000 users and future global expansion.
