Endeavour Energy, a New South Wales electricity infrastructure provider serving more than 2.7 million people, faced an end-of-life on-premises hardware and aging Oracle Exadata systems supporting critical metering, geospatial, and billing workloads. Oracle helped Endeavour Energy migrate 43 databases to OCI without code changes, using Oracle Cloud Lift Services for non-production workloads and a partner-assisted approach for production. With Oracle’s automated patching and cloud management, the company closed its data center, reduced IT administration, and cut database maintenance and licensing costs by 50%, while improving availability and reducing cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
