Elton Oil Company, a Dakar‑based petroleum retailer operating 20 service stations across Senegal and using Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, needed a secure, off‑site backup and disaster‑recovery solution for its 100 GB SQL ERP database. Facing rapid business growth and the risk of hardware failure, natural disasters, and data corruption, the company wanted 24/7 access to critical distribution, product, and customer data and to replace insecure local hard‑disk backups.
