Electrificadora del Huila (Electrohuila) is a Colombian electric utility serving about 409,000 customers around Neiva, generating power from three hydroelectric plants and managing transmission and distribution networks. The company struggled to process large volumes of customer data fast enough to support personalized services, relying on slow infrastructure and manual work that limited analysis and operational responsiveness.

Electrohuila implemented Oracle Database Appliance—selected for its engineered hardware-plus-software design and Oracle’s long-standing relationship with the utility—which enabled processing of roughly 28 billion records daily. Processing time dropped from 12 hours to about 2 hours, improving data quality and reliability, giving the team more time for analysis and strategic work, and enhancing customer service and day-to-day support.
