EEI, a leading Philippine construction company, faced growing difficulty tracking costs and profitability across complex infrastructure projects in the Philippines, Asia, and the Middle East. It had been managing large projects in spreadsheets, with as many as 6,000 activity lines per project and up to 40 projects at once, making monthly reporting slow and limiting visibility into issues. To improve financial insight, EEI turned to Oracle and Oracle ERP Cloud.
Oracle implemented Oracle ERP Cloud with procurement, financial, and project management capabilities to give EEI timely visibility into project costs, budget-versus-actual spend, and the end-to-end procurement process. As a result, EEI reduced the time to run its quarterly consolidated financial statement from 20 days to 5 minutes and now publishes monthly financial reports 2 weeks faster, between the third and fifth day of the following month.
