Eaton modernizes its financial close with Oracle Cloud EPM

Eaton, a global power management company with over 92,000 employees in more than 175 countries, needed to modernize aging financial planning, tax and on‑premises Hyperion Financial Management systems. The company also relied on manual account reconciliations via SharePoint and Excel and faced a “spaghetti architecture” of disparate systems that hampered data integration and the efficiency of its extended close process.

Eaton implemented Oracle Cloud EPM (with PwC as integration partner), moving 100% of its customized close process to the cloud and reimagining workflows rather than simply replicating on‑premises processes. The change delivered easier, more auditable closes with drill‑back to transaction detail, a risk‑based automated account reconciliation process, improved real‑time visibility and compliance, and continuous access to new EPM capabilities and best practices.
