DP World cuts time from its monthly close with Oracle Cloud

DP World, the multinational logistics company, was struggling to unify 160 disparate on-premises systems across its global operations while controlling rising costs and keeping finance, supply chain, and HR processes efficient. Amid rapid growth and the pandemic, DP World turned to Oracle and Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to simplify its back office, support acquisitions and new facilities, and improve digital trade operations.

Oracle implemented Oracle Cloud ERP, SCM, and HCM across DP World’s finance, supply chain, and human resources functions. As a result, DP World cut its monthly close from 15 days to 3, reduced budgeting time by 50%, sped up invoice processing by 50% to 60%, and lowered licensing costs by 10%; it also brought new facilities online in 15 to 20 weeks instead of about a year.
