A Oracle Case Study
Donaldson Company, Inc., a century-old global provider of filtration systems with about 12,700 employees and operations spanning more than 100 sites, needed to standardize processes and data to support organic growth and acquisitions, reduce complexity and costs, and give customers a consistent experience as “One Donaldson.” The company faced fragmented ERP systems, limited enterprise visibility, and inefficient cross-site processes that constrained productivity and strategic expansion.
Partnering with Deloitte and Oracle, Donaldson re‑implemented Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 (COMPASS) as a single global instance with complementary Oracle solutions (Demantra, BI, Product Hub, iSupplier, Internet Expenses) and minimal customizations. The rollout automated and standardized plan‑to‑manufacture, procure‑to‑pay, order‑to‑cash, and account‑to‑close processes, consolidated product and financial data, enabled self‑service reporting, cut intra‑company manufacturing order steps from 36 to 5, and positioned the company to replace multiple ERPs—improving transparency, efficiency, supplier collaboration, and speed to onboard new locations or acquisitions.
