Case Study: DNV GL achieves streamlined global HR and unified workforce management with Oracle Cloud HCM (Oracle)

A Oracle Case Study

Preview of the DNV GL Case Study

DNV GL uses Oracle Cloud to manage a global workforce

DNV GL, a global classification, assurance and certification company founded in 1864, employs about 12,000 full-time and 8,000 contingent workers across more than 100 countries and serves 100,000 customers in industries from maritime to energy and healthcare. Faced with the need for uniform HR policies, processes and secure personnel-data handling across its diversified, international operations, the company sought a configurable, integrated global HR system.

DNV GL implemented Oracle Cloud HCM to build a shared-service HR organization and deliver end-to-end HCM functionality, including employee and manager self-service, approval workflows, and unified analytics and reporting. The rollout decommissioned legacy systems, reduced double data entry, improved data quality and user experience, and—with Oracle PaaS and support from Oracle’s A-Team—added a bespoke Competence Management module to meet regulatory requirements.
