Direct Line Group, a leading UK-based insurance company, was facing an aging financial ledger system that was nearing end of support, relied heavily on manual processes and spreadsheets, and couldn’t easily integrate with modern financial platforms. The company wanted to move to the cloud to improve automation and efficiency, strengthen compliance, and support new strategic plans, choosing Oracle to continue its existing relationship and migrate from on-premises systems.
Oracle implemented Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud EPM in two phases with PwC. The rollout standardized finance processes, improved internal controls and compliance, moved Direct Line Group’s system of record to Oracle Cloud, and enabled faster payment processing with stronger security and encryption. Phase one took seven months and phase two took 10 months, delivering finance transformation across consolidation, reconciliations, ledgers, accounting, and asset management.
