Dialog Semiconductor moves operations to Oracle Exadata Cloud

Dialog Semiconductor, a German-British chip designer for IoT devices, wanted to cut costs, reduce in-house hardware, and focus on core competencies by moving its data manufacturing analysis division to the cloud. After evaluating providers, the company chose Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Exadata Cloud Service to meet its performance, stability, security, and scalability requirements.

Oracle implemented Exadata cloud services to move Dialog Semiconductor’s operations to the public cloud, enabling flexible access to data and applications, scalable compute and storage, and stronger redundancy. The result was a lower total cost of ownership versus on-premises infrastructure, improved resilience with no longer any concern about data loss or downtime, and secure growth of a production archive already exceeding 60 terabytes.
